Since our inception, we've been committed to utilizing exclusively 100% organic cotton, sourced from seeds that are non-genetically modified (non-GMO) and cultivated without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
Globally, only a small fraction of annually produced cotton is organic. Cultivating organic cotton ensures that harmful chemicals do not leach into the soil or nearby water bodies, preserving water resources by allowing it to be reused and safely returned to the environment. The positive impact on water, soil, and biodiversity underscores our commitment to respecting and safeguarding the well-being and livelihoods of cotton farmers and their communities.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a comprehensive certification that encompasses ecological and social criteria, guaranteeing that cotton is grown organically without genetically modified seeds or harmful chemicals. The benefits of using GOTS certified organic cotton include:
- 26% reduction in potential soil erosion
- 46% less contribution to global warming
- 70% decrease in land and water acidification
- 91% reduction in water consumption
Across our product lines, we exclusively utilize 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. Transaction certificates at each production stage ensure traceability and confirm the organic content of our products, from raw material to the end consumer.
Products are certified organic if:
- The organic content comprises at least 95% of the product weight. The majority of our t-shirts meet this criterion.
- If the organic content falls between 70% and 95% of the product weight, such as most of our sweatshirts, which are certified to contain 85% organic content. The remaining 15% consists of 'sustainable fibres,' including natural or recycled fibres.
With our Natural Raw collection, we're dedicated to minimizing our impact on the planet and its inhabitants. Crafted from undyed 100% organic cotton, this collection exemplifies the harmonious blend of style and sustainability.
Completely devoid of dyes, each garment in our Natural Raw collection showcases the natural hue of the cotton plant itself. The fabric's texture features minute specks of the original plant, including seed particles, enhancing its beauty and authenticity.
The characteristics and colour of cotton plants may subtly differ based on variables such as weather, soil conditions, and harvest timing. Our garments reflect these nuances, embodying the unique story of the cotton they originate from.
To further reduce environmental impact, we've tailored our production process for Natural Raw fabrics. A gentler spinning method consumes less energy compared to conventional spinning, preserving the integrity of the original cotton plant flecks. Additionally, with no dyes utilized, we significantly minimize chemical usage and conserve up to 920% less water and energy.
